How do I create my own flag?
Creating a Custom Flag from Scratch
Creating your own flag involves three main steps: conceptualization, digital design, and printing.
1. Conceptualization
Decide what the flag represents. If it's for a business, gather your vector logos and brand colors. If it's a personal or club flag, sketch out rough ideas keeping the "Keep it Simple" rule in mind.
2. Digital Design
Download a template from your flag printer. Use a program like Adobe Illustrator to lay out your design. Ensure your background color extends all the way to the "bleed" line, and keep all important logos within the "safe zone" so they aren't stitched over.
3. Choose Your Specifications
Decide if you want single-sided (reads reverse on back, lightweight, flies easily) or double-sided (reads correct on both sides, heavy, requires more wind). Select your finishing (grommets for a pole, or a pole sleeve).
4. Print
Submit your vector PDF to a professional dye-sublimation flag printer like PrintFlag. We will handle the rest and ship the finished product to your door!
